Teenagers In The Media

I think it depends on what you look at when you see teenagers in the media. I think most of the teenagers in the media are portrayed unfairly. I think people stereotype teenagers because of some mistakes that we make. But in all reality, everyone makes mistakes. I think its really hypocritical when adults talk about teenagers negatively because thy were one once and the probably did the exact same things.
The other way teenagers are portrayed in the media are as perfect children. like in "happy days" the teenagers don't do anything wrong and if they do, they always fix it. Teenagers are not perfect, but they arnt horrible either. Its very rare to find a show that shows teenagers being teenagers. Digrassi is really the only TV show that i can thing of that almost does that. The only problem with Degrassi is that it seems to over dramatize most situations.

Media

I belive that media is somewhat important to my life. I like to know what is going on around me and i think it is important to know. I think media goes too far when it starts to interfear with peoples lives in a bad way. It is important to know certain things.
I am most passionate about music media. I love music and i grew up with alot of differant types. I love to find new music and the media helps with that. Some of the technology in the modern pop culture is a bit extreame but some people need it. I like how we have evolved and grew with our technology. Text messaging has become extreamly popular now and new technology in cell phones have accomadated that with larger keypads. I dislike the judging part of popular culture. I mostley use media for information and some entertainment.

The one media that I strongly connect to is music. Music can be as personal as you want it to, and with all of the new technology you can take your music anywere you want to. I grew up with alot of differnt music thanks to my dad. My dad introduced me to alot of artists that I still listen too. You cant go anywere in this gerneration without hearing some kind of music. The other reason I like music so much is because it is so diverse and cultural. Every culture has a type of music that is very differnt and interesting. Music has a major influence on everyday life including; the way people dress, how they act, and how they are as people. There are so many types of music and it is very hard to find a song that does not hit you in some way or another. Music has deffinatly influenced who I am in a very good way. I have way to many favorite artist to name them all.
